The EPS Gardentrays International association is an initiative that emerged from the EPS industry in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark and which has concentrated fully since 1 October 1992 on the collection and re-processing of used EPS trays from the horticultural market in the Netherlands and Germany.

The Danish companies affiliated to EPS Gardentrays International are also involved with the system in relation to the export of their products to these countries.

The re-processing technology and logistics organisation behind EPS Gardentrays have ensured that, at present, 85% of all used EPS plug, propagation and marketing trays from the horticultural market sector are recycled.

Savings on raw materials and a better environment are the result.

The used trays are collected free of charge, provided that the collection conditions are fulfilled.
